This full-time role plays a crucial part in maintaining a clean, safe, and homelike environment within the facility, which is essential for enhancing the quality of life for residents, staff, and visitors alike. The Housekeeper Aide is responsible for delivering high-standard housekeeping services that comply with facility policies as well as state and federal regulations. Their duties involve daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring all environments are sanitary and well-maintained.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services desirable
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety procedures
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to use personal protective equipment properly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare environment in Environmental Services preferred
- Friendly attitude and excellent communication skills required
- Ability to express self adequately in written and oral communication
- Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members
Job Duties
- Clean assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily according to facility procedures
- Respect resident privacy and preferences about room arrangement and personal items
- Clean walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and waxed floors according to department procedures
- Secure housekeeping supplies out of reach of residents at all times
- Dispose of trash and waste including biohazardous waste following facility policies
- Post signs indicating safety hazards during housekeeping activities
- Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to hazardous fluids
- Comply with safety instructions for chemical use and store chemicals properly
- Monitor and report evidence of rodents or pests to supervisor
- Communicate with Maintenance Director for state inspections and attend survey training
- Report injuries to supervisor immediately
- Attend in-service education programs and apply information to job tasks
- Monitor workplace for safety and fire hazards and report or correct issues
- Participate in fire and disaster drills and carry out assigned emergency duties
- Lift up to 50 pounds as required
