This opportunity is for a Part-Time Environmental Services team member within Advocate Health’s BayCare Leased Employees department, working 20 hours per week on a schedule that includes every other weekend and some holiday shifts from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The pay range for this role is $18.85 to $28.30 per hour, and the position is benefits eligible. As a key member of the Environmental Services team, the successful candidate will perform a variety of cleaning and sanitation duties to maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for patients, visitors, and staff alike. Responsibilities include cleaning patient care and surgical areas, public and private restrooms, offices, elevators, conference rooms, and other hospital facilities. The role involves detailed environmental cleaning such as dusting and damp mopping floors, sanitizing surfaces including ceilings, vents, walls, doors, beds, bathroom fixtures, and windows. Additional duties include gathering and disposing of recyclables, trash, medical and hazardous waste following strict infection control guidelines, sorting and transporting linens, preparing patient dismissal and transfer areas, maintaining supply dispensers, restocking inventory, and reporting safety or mechanical issues to supervisors. The role demands physical stamina including lifting up to 35 pounds from floor to up to 5 feet, pushing or pulling with force up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and the ability to perform these tasks while ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations. The candidate will need to operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, automatic scrubbers, and maintain safety procedures regarding infectious materials. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and customer service skills, as well as the ability to follow oral and written instructions independently. No formal education or prior experience is required, although basic computer skills and knowledge of departmental policies are beneficial. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs from floor to up to 5 ft
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs at waist height
- Ability to push or pull with 50 lbs of force
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, and crawl
- Must be on feet for majority of shift including walking and standing
- Ability to wear protective clothing and handle cleaning chemicals and infectious waste
- Must operate cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, buffers, automatic scrubbers, and stepladders
- Ability to perform duties without disrupting hospital operations

Job Duties
