Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 to 6 months experience in housekeeping or laundry services preferably in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
- basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation protocols
- understanding of infection control procedures
- knowledge of safety regulations
- attention to detail
- commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment

Job Duties
- perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
- perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
- clean floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting while ensuring safety signs are set up
- perform isolation cleaning procedures following infection control protocols
- assist in maintaining material safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals
- ensure hazardous chemical containers are properly labeled and stored
- report hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor
- maintain infection control and universal precaution practices when performing laundry procedures
- perform other necessary tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety of laundry department
