The Housekeeper role at InTown Suites is vital to the overall guest experience and maintaining the high standards of cleanliness the company is known for. This position involves maintaining guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet or exceed company standards. The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, vacuuming and washing floors, dusting, polishing furniture, and removing trash from assigned rooms. Beyond individual rooms, housekeepers also contribute to the hotel's overall aesthetic by cleaning exterior room elements such as sliding doors, air conditioning grills, windows, and surrounding outdoor trash removal.

This role demands a strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a customer-focused attitude to ensure guests feel comfortable and valued. Housekeepers are expected to operate housekeeping equipment efficiently, restock supplies, report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately, and maintain excellent communication with supervisors and team members. This role is essential in upholding both cleanliness and safety standards throughout the hotel premises.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas
  • clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company standards
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
