Medieval Times is currently seeking dedicated Housekeeping team members to join their staff. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the extensive facility. As a Housekeeping team member, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the building—including restrooms, floors, furniture, and fixtures—are impeccably clean and well-stocked. This position demands attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks using specified chemical cleaners and power equipment. The role involves duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, polishing floors, and cleaning windows, along with handling trash removal and maintenance reporting. You will also be tasked with requisitioning supplies necessary to keep the property in prime condition.
This position requires physical stamina for walking, standing for long periods, repetitive movements, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in varied environments including small spaces and different levels of the facility. Safety is paramount, and proper procedures for mixing cleaning solutions and utilizing equipment must be followed at all times. Job Duties
- Services, cleans and restocks supplies in restrooms
- gathers and empties trash
- cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
- follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
- mixes cleaning solutions according to specifications
- strips, seals, finishes and polishes floors as needed
- notifies maintenance manager concerning the need for repairs
- requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors as needed
- steam-cleans or shampoos carpets and removes stains
- cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
- dusts furniture, walls, machines and equipment as needed
- performs additional duties as assigned
