Advocate Health is currently seeking a Part-Time Environmental Services Worker for their Oshkosh location within the 11906 AMC Oshkosh Environmental Services Department. This part-time role does not include benefits eligibility but offers an hourly pay range of $18.85 to $28.30. The Environmental Services Worker plays a critical role within the healthcare team by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of patient care areas, surgical rooms, public and private restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, offices, elevators, and stairwells. This role contributes directly to the safety and comfort of patients, visitors, and staff by maintaining a high standard of hygiene and infection control throughout the facility. Key responsibilities include cleaning environmental surfaces such as ceilings, vents, walls, doors, furniture, hospital beds, bathroom fixtures, and windows, as well as assisting with emergency spill clean-ups. The worker will also be responsible for dusting and damp mopping floors in various areas of the hospital, replacing cubicle and window coverings, managing waste disposal including recyclables, trash, medical and hazardous waste in accordance with established infection control protocols, and sorting and delivering linens. Additional duties include preparing dismissal and transfer units, restocking supplies, inventory management, and reporting unsafe conditions or mechanical failures to supervisors.
This position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, pull, and handle equipment and materials up to 50 pounds. Workers must be able to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching above shoulder height, and crawling as necessary. They must be familiar with operating cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, mopping devices, buffers, automatic scrubbers, and ladders up to six feet. Working in this role demands adherence to safety regulations, especially regarding infectious and hazardous waste materials. The role emphasizes the ability to work independently while minimizing disruptions to medical and administrative operations. Excellent customer service skills and basic computer literacy are also important. Although no previous experience or formal education is required, candidates must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions clearly. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Cleans patient care areas, surgical areas, public/private restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, offices, elevators, and stairwells
- cleans all environmental surfaces including ceilings and vents, walls, doors, furniture, beds, bathroom fixtures, and windows
- assists in cleaning emergency spills as requested
- dusts and damp mops floors in patient and exam rooms, corridors, stairwells, restrooms, and other areas of the facility
