As a Room Attendant at Converge Hospitality, you will play a crucial role in upholding the company’s reputation by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are immaculately clean, fully stocked, and well-maintained. The role includes a variety of housekeeping responsibilities such as replenishing linens and amenities, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms. In addition, Room Attendants attend pre-shift meetings to understand their daily assignments and ensure that all cleaning tasks meet the hotel’s strict standards and allotted minutes per room (MPRs). Opportunities to perform deep cleaning tasks and guest turndown services may also arise, offering variety and skill growth within the role.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset
- Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Good communication skills
- Reliable attendance record
- Ability to follow safety rules and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and procedures
- Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals
- General knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers
- Basic ability to understand and speak some English
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Demonstrate genuine care for customers and employees
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Stock housekeeping cart with cleaning supplies, fresh linens and guest supplies
- Clean guest rooms as assigned, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and removing linen and trash
- Change and replenish bed linens, towels and other guest amenities as needed
- Clean other designated areas such as restrooms, public areas, offices, and meeting rooms
- Ensure all hotel property is in working order and report any damage or mechanical problems
- Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction
- Turn in and log all guest property left in rooms or public spaces
- Attend pre-shift meetings to learn assignments and daily tasks
- Perform deep cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses and moving furniture
- Perform guest turndown service as needed
- Ensure all assigned rooms and tasks are completed within the allotted MPRs
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
