Job Description

The Pennant Group, Inc. is a prominent holding company that operates through independent subsidiaries dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services across the United States. These subsidiaries specialize in home health care, hospice services, and senior living communities, each managed autonomously with their own dedicated management teams and staff. Established with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals requiring specialized care, The Pennant Group’s subsidiaries uphold the highest standards in healthcare and community living environments. Their emphasis on delivering compassionate care, maintaining safety, and fostering respect for residents have positioned them as a leader in the healthcare services industry.

This particular role is an integral part of the housekeeping team within one of The Pennant Group’s senior living communities. The position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, focusing on maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control in various community areas, including resident rooms, common spaces, restrooms, offices, and wellness areas. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in upholding community and regulatory standards to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for all residents and staff.

In this role, the housekeeper performs a variety of daily cleaning tasks guided by established schedules and protocols. Primary duties include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing floors, cleaning and polishing fixtures, replenishing room supplies, and managing waste disposal. Additionally, the role involves performing heavier cleaning assignments, such as carpet shampooing and window cleaning, as well as assisting in emergency spill situations when necessary.

Compliance with health regulations such as infection control measures and HIPAA privacy policies is a fundamental aspect of this position. The housekeeper must use only approved cleaning products, adhering to safety guidelines while storing and handling cleaning equipment responsibly. Observing and reporting maintenance needs and supporting the housekeeping director by recommending equipment repairs are also vital responsibilities.

This position requires physical stamina to handle lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy weights, as well as the ability to cope with the emotional challenges associated with working in a senior living facility. The candidate should display tact, integrity, and the capability to interact effectively with residents, family members, visitors, and other staff members. Flexibility, independence, and a willingness to adopt new housekeeping methods are highly valued.

Overall, this housekeeping role provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a supportive community environment, ensuring health, safety, and comfort for seniors and vulnerable populations served by The Pennant Group’s senior living community subsidiary.
