The role of Janitor/Housekeeper at Kenco Logistics is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within the warehouse, distribution center, and office spaces. This position ensures that work areas are hygienic and orderly, contributing to overall operational efficiency and employee comfort. Responsibilities include performing heavy cleaning tasks such as vacuuming and mopping floors, operating floor sweepers when required, and keeping walkways free from debris and spills. The janitor role also involves cleaning office windows and glass surfaces, emptying trash receptacles, stocking restrooms, and ensuring the supply room remains orderly and well-stocked. Additional duties include litter control in parking lots, reporting safety violations to management, and assisting with various tasks assigned by the supervisor. The position carries an approximate pay range of $15.24 to $22.85 per hour and is aligned with Kenco's values of honesty, service, and continuous improvement.
Ideal candidates for this position should have a minimum of six months of relevant cleaning experience and preferably possess a high school diploma or GED. Passing a background check and drug screening is mandatory. Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to varying work demands are critical competencies for success. The company seeks individuals who are action-oriented, collaborative, able to make sound decisions, adept at optimizing work processes, and flexible in dynamic situations. This role does not require travel and offers a supportive and professional environment where employees are encouraged to grow their careers and contribute meaningfully to the company's success.
Employees at Kenco enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, supplemental insurance options like critical illness and hospital indemnity, paid parental leave, and both short and long-term disability coverage. Additionally, the company offers paid time off starting from the first day of employment, employer-paid holidays, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan.
