The Housekeeper role at InTown Suites is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that the company is known for. This position requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who can uphold the hotel’s housekeeping standards by ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are spotless, well-maintained, and inviting. The housekeeper will be responsible for daily cleaning tasks including sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen areas, vacuuming and washing floors, dusting and polishing furniture, and removing trash both inside and outside guest rooms. Additionally, the position involves inspecting guest and public areas to guarantee quality and presentation align with company expectations. Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
- Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry SOPs and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to sit, climb or balance occasionally
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Good vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
- Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Ability to endure exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold and heat
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards regardless of assignment
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of safety and/or security violations or guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
