ELS is currently seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to join their housekeeping team in Park City, Kentucky. This role is a vital part of the maintenance department and involves performing various technical maintenance duties to ensure the community's property remains clean, safe, and appealing. Maintenance Workers at ELS typically engage in tasks such as HVAC repairs and adjustments, plumbing, light carpentry and construction, appliance repair, groundskeeping, and ensuring overall upkeep of common areas and vacant lots.
In this position, you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, participating as a crucial team member responsible for meeting the quality maintenance standards set by ELS. Your daily responsibilities will include collaborating with management to maintain the community’s appearance, attending daily staff meetings to stay informed on vendor appointments and work priorities, and communicating professionally with fellow maintenance workers, managers, and staff. In addition to performing repairs and troubleshooting maintenance concerns, your role will also involve groundskeeping duties such as mowing, weeding, edging, and irrigation system repairs.
This role requires physical stamina, as you may be required to lift up to 50 pounds, move heavy objects, and operate maintenance trucks across the property. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of direct technical work experience in applicable areas, including irrigation repairs, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license, good driving record and current auto insurance
- Willingness to be on call for emergencies that arise after hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of technical work experience in irrigation repairs, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC or related fields
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license with good driving record and current auto insurance

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols
Job Duties
- Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe and appealing property
- Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work
- Communicate regularly and professionally with other maintenance workers, management and staff and work closely with them on all special maintenance projects
- Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from trash and debris
- Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs
- Mow, weed, edge and otherwise maintain common areas and vacant lot grounds
- Conduct irrigation systems repairs
- Move heavy objects and drive maintenance trucks to various locations on the property
- Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
