Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1-2 years housekeeping experience
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to perform repetitive movement including bending and twisting
Ability to use hands to handle and control objects
Ability to work in small spaces and elevated areas
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions

Job Qualifications

Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and procedures
Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Duties

Services, cleans and restocks supplies in restrooms
Gathers and empties trash
Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
Mixes cleaning solutions according to specifications
Strips, seals, finishes and polishes floors as needed
Notifies maintenance manager concerning the need for repairs
Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors as needed
Steam-cleans or shampoos carpets and removes stains
Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
Dusts furniture, walls, machines and equipment as needed
Performs additional duties as assigned
