Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to work indoors with hard and carpeted surfaces
- Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
- Ability to work in exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold and heat
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with good knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and maintain supply inventory
- Ability to perform occasional physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas
- Clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
- Remove all trash from guest rooms
- Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards regardless of assignment
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
