Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
- Ability to perform duties involving climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques in housekeeping and laundry
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Any combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, clean floors by vacuuming or washing, remove all trash from guest rooms, dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grill, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if specific area is not assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and any guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
