Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • capability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, kneel, and crouch frequently
  • ability to handle repetitive movements and use cleaning equipment
  • willingness to work varying shifts including occasional overnight duties
  • adherence to safety and health standards
  • commitment to professionalism and ethical behavior

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with quality inspection processes
  • knowledge of room readiness inspection
  • blood borne pathogen certification preferred
  • hotel, apartment, or cleaning experience
  • OSHA certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Receives a list of rooms to be cleaned at the start of shift
  • maintains an orderly cart stocked with linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies
  • cleans guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways to meet health and brand standards
  • inspects and cleans fire prevention devices such as smoke alarms and sprinklers
  • replaces soiled linens and towels and disinfects bathroom surfaces
  • replenishes room supplies including toilet paper, soap, and trash liners
  • empties wastebaskets and removes trash to disposal areas
  • reports any damage, maintenance issues, or suspicious items to the General Manager
  • washes and folds laundry
  • keeps storage areas and carts clean and organized
  • performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager
