Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • good knowledge of cleaning and laundry procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • tolerance for exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove all trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows
  • remove trash from surrounding outside areas
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company standards regardless of assignment
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • notify supervisor immediately of safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on housekeeping cart
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
