Job Description

LCB Senior Living is a well-established provider of senior living communities committed to offering high-quality residential care and support services to older adults. Known for its compassionate approach and dedication to creating welcoming and safe environments, LCB operates various managed care communities designed to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of its residents. The Residence at Summer Street is one such community under the LCB Senior Living umbrella, providing compassionate assisted living accommodations for seniors in a comfortable and secure setting. The organization values professionalism, respect, and integrity, aligning its service with these core principles to enhance the quality of life for its residents.

The role of an as-needed Housekeeper at The Residence at Summer Street is critical in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the living and common areas within the community. This position is part-time and on an as-needed basis, providing flexibility and immediate employment opportunities for individuals with relevant housekeeping experience. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $17.25 to $19.75, dependent on the applicant's years of experience. The Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring that residents' rooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas, and common spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness through various tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.

Beyond simply cleaning, the Housekeeper acts as a representative of LCB Senior Living’s values, promoting a positive atmosphere for residents, visitors, and co-workers. This means interacting with residents and potential new community members in a courteous and professional manner, helping to support the community’s occupancy goals by fostering a welcoming environment. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals, while performing physically demanding duties such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Housekeepers also engage in supporting the general upkeep of the residence by performing supplementary tasks such as laundry services including washing, folding, and returning bed linens, cleaning windows, dusting blinds, and light outdoor maintenance like general pick-up. The position demands a commitment to safety and cleanliness which is essential in a healthcare setting to prevent infection and promote a healthy living environment.

The role offers training and development through required in-service training and orientations, ensuring that associates remain knowledgeable about best practices and the latest standards in housekeeping and hygiene. This position does not require any licenses or certificates but prefers candidates with a high school diploma or GED and previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality environments. The ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, is essential for the role.

LCB Senior Living is an equal opportunity employer, embracing diversity and providing equal access to employment opportunities for all candidates regardless of race, religion, gender identity, disability, or any other protected characteristic. This reflects the company’s strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace where all employees can thrive while contributing positively to the community. Working as a Housekeeper with LCB Senior Living is not only a job but a chance to be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors through compassionate service and professional integrity.
