Job Description

The role of Housekeeper/Laundry Aide at The Kensington is critical in maintaining the community’s commitment to providing a healthy and sanitary living space. Scheduled to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, this part-time position offers a competitive pay rate of 20 dollars per hour. The Housekeeper/Laundry Aide is responsible for cleaning assigned apartments, community rooms, and other areas within the facility. This includes changing bed linens, carrying linens, towels, and cleaning supplies on wheeled carts, and assisting with resident and community laundry tasks as needed. The employee’s attention to detail and dedication contributes significantly to a warm, secure, and friendly environment, which is essential for the comfort and well-being of residents and guests. The position demands a team member who is dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, demonstrating exemplary service in every task.

Job Requirements

  • high school graduate preferred
  • six months to one year of housekeeping experience
  • experience working in a senior environment preferred
  • basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
