Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to four years of high school or GED
  • 7 to 11 months of related experience and/or training
  • mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines
  • ability to maintain quality standards through various cleaning tasks
  • ability to prepare and label cleaning chemicals properly
  • good physical condition to perform duties including lifting up to 30 pounds and working at heights
  • ability to follow safety rules and departmental policies
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information
  • punctual and adheres to schedule
  • wears uniform and nametag
  • ability to communicate verbally and use housekeeping equipment
  • willingness to perform periodic and situational duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Performs cleaning functions according to departmental procedures
  • mixes cleaning chemicals to proper dilution and labels them correctly
  • prepares supplies and equipment within 15 minutes of shift start
  • cleans and returns equipment to designated storage areas
  • reports broken or inoperative equipment and hazardous conditions
  • adheres to attendance and uniform policies
  • treats members with respect and confidentiality
  • uses safety signs and protective gloves during cleaning tasks
  • demonstrates ability to use all housekeeping equipment
  • attends required in-services and departmental meetings
  • performs other related duties as assigned
