The organization is committed to enriching the lives of seniors through compassionate care, high-quality facilities, and a strong sense of community. Operating within the assisted living, long-term care, and skilled nursing sectors, Sunrise Senior Living offers comprehensive services aimed at promoting longevity, health, and happiness among its residents. The company fosters a culture where team members find joy in serving others while building meaningful relationships not only with residents and their families but also with fellow employees. This alignment of mission and values ensures that every staff member contributes to an environment where care and compassion shine brightly.
The role of Housekeeping Supervisor at Sunrise Senior Living is a vital leadership position within the housekeeping and laundry departments. This role combines hands-on operational duties with supervisory responsibilities to ensure that all aspects of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and quality are consistently maintained across the community. The Housekeeping Supervisor works closely with community leadership to meet and exceed service standards, helping to create an inviting and secure environment for residents, guests, and team members alike. This position is designed for a working leader who not only manages day-to-day housekeeping and laundry operations but also actively participates in tasks such as cleaning, laundry management, and equipment maintenance.
In addition to daily operations, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays an essential role in training new team members, managing work schedules, reviewing payroll and timekeeping records, and supporting risk management and safety protocols. The individual in this role ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and promotes adherence to infection control techniques to safeguard the well-being of residents and staff. A focus on communication, team engagement, and ongoing development is key to this position, as the Housekeeping Supervisor regularly participates in team meetings, performance appraisals, and training activities.
This leadership position requires at least two years of experience in housekeeping and laundry operations, preferably in senior living or hospitality settings, with some supervisory experience. Applicants should possess strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a genuine desire to work with seniors. The role offers competitive compensation based on location, experience, and qualifications, along with comprehensive benefits designed to support the overall well-being and professional growth of team members. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans, retirement savings options, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and additional incentive programs.
Joining Sunrise Senior Living means becoming part of a mission-driven organization committed to making a positive impact on the lives of seniors and their families. Team members are encouraged to shine by bringing their unique talents and passion to their work, contributing to a culture where everyone can grow and thrive together. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to build a meaningful career in the senior care industry while helping foster a safe, clean, and caring residential environment.
