Job Description

University Partners is a distinguished provider of student housing across the United States, committed to delivering best-in-class living experiences for college students. With a strong focus on service, community engagement, and operational excellence, University Partners creates vibrant environments where students feel welcomed, secure, and proud to call home. The company prides itself on its dedication to fostering supportive residential communities that promote academic success and personal growth. With numerous properties located near major universities, University Partners is recognized for its quality accommodations, state-of-the-art amenities, and exceptional customer service that consistently exceed student expectations.

The role of Housekeeper at University Partners is a vital position dedicated to maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards for interior common areas, amenities, offices, and vacant apartment homes within the student housing community. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the community sustains a professional and polished appearance, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for current and prospective residents. The Housekeeper's responsibilities include comprehensive cleaning tasks that cover a wide range of spaces such as clubhouses, leasing offices, hallways, restrooms, fitness centers, study rooms, and vacant units. These efforts help prepare apartments to be move-in ready while preserving the pristine condition of communal spaces.

In addition to routine cleaning, the Housekeeper is also responsible for managing trash removal, restocking restroom and amenity supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues discovered during housekeeping duties. This role requires strict adherence to chemical safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety standards. The Housekeeper must also be vigilant about supply inventory, ensuring that cleaning materials are adequately stocked and any shortages are promptly communicated.

The position demands a professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills and be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team setting. The role may require working under pressure during busy periods and includes flexibility for weekend shifts and overtime as needed. Physical requirements include the ability to lift cleaning equipment and supplies weighing between 10 and 25 pounds.

University Partners prefers candidates with less than a high school education or equivalent experience, with relevant background in janitorial work, housekeeping, hotel services, or apartment turnover considered an advantage. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who are interested in relationship-building and contributing to the success of a dynamic residential community team. University Partners offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for career growth and development within the company.
