Job Description

Jordan Oaks is a premier independent living community located in Cary, dedicated to providing an exceptional living environment for active seniors. As part of the larger Hawthorn Senior Living family, Jordan Oaks is more than just a residential facility—it is a vibrant community that prioritizes comfort, care, and independence for its residents. This community is designed to offer seniors a welcoming place where they can enjoy home-cooked meals, participate in engaging activities like game nights, or simply relax and spend quality time with family and friends. The overarching mission at Jordan Oaks and Hawthorn Senior Living is to create a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters well-being and happiness for all residents. The staff here are committed to delivering outstanding services, driven by compassion, integrity, and genuine care for the people they serve. This commitment extends to fostering a workplace culture that values patience, loyalty, understanding, and hard work, believing these qualities to be essential for rewarding lives and fulfilling careers.

The role of Housekeeper/Server at Jordan Oaks is a full-time position offering a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., ensuring evenings and weekends off. This position is integral to maintaining the cleanliness and overall comfort of the community, as well as contributing directly to the dining experience of the residents. Responsibilities span light housekeeping duties within residents' apartments, laundry and linen services, and maintaining cleanliness in the community's common areas. Additionally, the Housekeeper/Server plays a key role in serving meals to residents, requiring a friendly and professional demeanor. This position demands a team player who can communicate clearly and concisely with senior residents, understands general cleaning and sanitation procedures, and who possesses a passion for enhancing the lives of others. While prior housekeeping experience is preferred, it is not mandatory; the right attitude and the ability to work harmoniously within a team are paramount. Jordan Oaks seeks individuals who value hospitality and compassion and who want to make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of their senior residents.

Employees at Jordan Oaks receive competitive compensation paired with a comprehensive benefits package. These benefits include paid time off, and the opportunity to participate in healthcare, dental, vision, and disability insurance plans, alongside supplemental life insurance. The community also offers a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) designed to support employee well-being. The workplace culture at Jordan Oaks is known for being unique, inclusive, and celebratory, with year-round events and a strong emphasis on community spirit. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want a fulfilling career in senior living, where they can combine their skills with a desire to deliver compassionate service in a supportive, respectful environment. Jordan Oaks is an equal opportunity employer, committed to hiring individuals who reflect the values of empathy, hospitality, and dedication to senior care.
