The Housekeeper at Embassy Suites will be responsible for cleaning multiple guest rooms daily, wiping surfaces, dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, making beds, restocking supplies, and cleaning bathrooms while adhering strictly to brand standards. Additional duties include trash removal and implementing environmentally friendly practices as trained by the hotel. The role also involves guest interaction during shifts, offering a friendly greeting and assistance when needed. Housekeepers support hotel maintenance by reporting any broken or missing items promptly and collaborate with all departments to achieve the hotel's operational goals. The role demands physical activity, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects up to 25 pounds, as well as standing and walking for the entire shift, which highlights the active nature of the work.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to understand and follow instructions
  • ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
  • physical stamina for continuous movement including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 25 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift
  • ability to work weekends, holidays and varied shifts
  • good communication skills

  • ability to follow green cleaning practices
  • must be legally authorized to work in the u.s.

Job Qualifications

  • previous cleaning, janitorial or customer service experience is a plus but not required
  • basic verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • wipe all surfaces, dust and vacuum each guest room adhering to our brand standards
  • change linens, make beds and restock all guest room supplies
  • clean bathrooms, remove trash and carry out green practices as trained by the hotel
  • greet and assist guests that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile
  • clean multiple rooms each day
  • support our maintenance team by reporting any broken, defective or missing items
  • support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
