The role of Housekeeper / Room Attendant / Suite Attendant is crucial to upholding the highest levels of cleanliness across all guestrooms in the hotel. This position focuses on thoroughly cleaning and maintaining assigned rooms following the rigorous guidelines set by our brand standards. In this role, attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction are paramount, as the housekeeper is responsible not just for basic cleaning but for ensuring that each room meets the impeccable quality expected by our guests. Responsibilities include managing inventory for all items placed in guestrooms, reporting lost and found items, communicating the status of cleaned rooms to supervisors, and promptly noting any damages or unusual circumstances observed during cleaning.

Safety is another vital aspect of this position. Our housekeepers are trained in the proper and safe use of authorized cleaning agents and must follow strict key control procedures in compliance with hotel policy. Additionally, this position requires maintaining positive interactions with guests, coworkers, and management, which fosters a welcoming and cooperative work atmosphere. The housekeeper is responsible for restocking and managing the housekeeping cart throughout the shift, assisting guests with inquiries or requests, adhering to grooming and dress code standards, and being capable of executing hotel emergency procedures as necessary. Job Duties

  • Thoroughly cleans all assigned rooms within prescribed brand standard guidelines
  • Maintains the inventory of every item placed in guestrooms
  • Communicates status of cleaned rooms to housekeeping supervisor
  • Reports any lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor immediately, listing the room number or area where the item was found
  • Reports any damaged or missing items to maintenance and the housekeeping supervisor
  • Reports exceptional and/or unusual circumstances, such as no luggage in a stay-over room, sleep-outs, damage in the rooms, etc. to the housekeeping supervisor
  • Uses all authorized cleaning agents properly and safely
  • Follows proper key control procedures
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with guests, clients, co-workers, and management
  • Follows proper handling procedures for dirty rags/linens
  • Restocks and maintain housekeeping cart
  • Assists guests with questions and requests
  • Adheres to proper grooming and dress codes for the department
  • Able to carry out hotel emergency procedures
  • Performs all other duties as directed, developed, or assigned
  • Arrives for assigned shift on time
