Job Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to perform technical cleaning in specialized healthcare environments including IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as light floor machines
Physical capability to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs or more up to 80% of the time
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to wear required protective clothing and equipment
Valid Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance
Must be able to lift and transport patients in emergency situations
No prior experience required

Job Qualifications

Strong physical stamina for reaching, standing, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting up to 35 lbs

Job Duties

Clean and sanitize occupied spaces including patient units, office areas, clinics, and treatment/procedural areas
Remove refuse and soiled linens
Operate light floor equipment for cleaning floors in patient care areas
Wear protective equipment such as gowns, gloves, goggles, and rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
Climb ladders as required
Lift and transport patients in case of emergency
Follow safety and regulatory protocols
