Job Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to clean areas requiring technical cleaning including IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, ED
Ability to operate light floor equipment
Ability to lift and transport patients in emergency
Physical requirements including reaching, standing long periods, squatting, bending, carrying or lifting supplies up to 35 pounds 80 percent of the time
Ability to climb ladders
Must wear protective equipment clothing as per regulations
Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance
No experience required

Job Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to perform technical cleaning in specialized hospital areas
Capable of operating light floor cleaning equipment
Physically fit to perform tasks including lifting, bending, squatting, and standing for long periods
Willingness to wear required protective equipment
Valid Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance

Job Duties

Clean and sanitize occupied spaces including patient units, office areas, clinics, treatment and procedural areas, and public spaces using various supplies and cleaning equipment
Remove refuse and soiled linens
Perform technical cleaning in areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and Emergency Department
Operate light floor cleaning equipment in patient care areas
Lift and transport patients in emergency situations
Wear and comply with protective equipment and clothing regulations
Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules
