Job Requirements
- Age 18 or older or have proper work permit
- background clearances as required by government
- complete health screening and provide negative TB test results
- able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- able to lift up to 40 pounds
- mobile and physically capable of housekeeping duties
- ability to interact respectfully with residents and coworkers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- ability to follow oral and written directions
- effective interpersonal skills with people of different ages and backgrounds
- prior housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- willingness to learn and demonstrate positive attitude
- ability to use standard cleaning equipment
- knowledge of safety procedures when handling chemicals
- familiarity with cleaning schedules and protocols
Job Duties
- Clean resident apartments, common areas, and offices including furnishings, fixtures, and bathroom fixtures
- set up and remove appropriate caution/safety signs
- report health, safety, and sanitation concerns
- follow cleaning schedules
- monitor and remove trash and waste
- keep work areas free of hazards and organize equipment
- use safety and protective equipment when handling hazardous materials
- follow policies for use and disposal of chemicals and cleaning solutions
- lock and control housekeeping supplies and hazardous materials
- comply with labeling and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) policies
- represent the community positively through professional demeanor and dress
- encourage teamwork and open communication
- display tact and friendliness with residents, families, and guests
- perform additional duties as assigned by management
