Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in housekeeping or maintenance preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- Ability to use floor-care and cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks including mopping, sweeping, and lifting
- Willingness to attend required training sessions
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful
- Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- Knowledge of proper chemical use and safety protocols
- Ability to identify and correct safety hazards
- Familiarity with Patient Care Management Systems and abuse prevention policies
- Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions
Job Duties
- Perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor
- Mop, sweep, and dust floors and surfaces
- Wash windows and clean furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware
- Shampoo and vacuum carpets as directed
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to facility protocols
- Empty trash containers, replace liners, and dispose of trash properly
- Report repair needs and safety hazards to Supervisor or maintenance department
- Request needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor
- Attend weekly in-services and comply with Patient Care Management Systems
- Assure patient/resident safety
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
