Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in housekeeping or maintenance preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Availability to work PRN shifts
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals appropriately
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful
- Experience in use of floor-care equipment is helpful
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- Knowledge of safety rules and ability to identify and correct safety hazards
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to patient and resident safety
- Understanding of abuse prevention policies
Job Duties
- Perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets
- Arrange furniture
- Clean furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily
- Use proper chemicals in proper portions for cleaning
- Empty trash containers and replace liners
- Report repair needs and safety hazards to the Supervisor or maintenance department
- Request needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor
- Attend weekly in-services and comply with patient care management systems
- Assure patient and resident safety
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
