We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to join our team at Morada Senior Living. This position is of the PRN (pro re nata) type, meaning the work schedule is flexible and based on the needs of the community. The Housekeeper plays a critical role in ensuring that the living environment for our senior residents is clean, safe, and comfortable. The responsibilities include performing routine cleaning tasks according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges, and offices. This role requires skills in sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, wet mopping, spot cleaning, and vacuuming floors, rugs, and carpets. The Housekeeper is also responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions by cleaning lavatories, showers, sink fixtures, scrubbing bathroom tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills. Maintaining and organizing equipment and materials is an essential aspect of this role to ensure efficient operation.
Additionally, the Housekeeper manages community laundry tasks including collecting, cleaning, and redistributing laundry items as well as ensuring that the commercial laundry area remains clean and orderly. Safety is a key priority; the Housekeeper must ensure all cleaning chemicals are properly stored and locked away when not in use and that cords, carts, and equipment do not block exits or violate fire codes. Reporting repair needs and supply shortages to the Lead Housekeeper is imperative to maintain smooth operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in working with seniors, communicate effectively, and operate within a team environment. Physical demands are part of the job, including standing, walking, lifting, and other activities. Overall, this role offers a meaningful chance to directly impact the lives of others in a supportive community setting. If you are interested in becoming part of a team that values your contributions and offers growth opportunities, we encourage you to apply today.
