Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • experience performing essential cleaning functions desirable
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and balance
  • ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
  • positive attitude and ability to work independently
  • willingness to follow safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the facility
  • uses cleaning cart to transport supplies
  • cleans and disinfects resident rooms and bathrooms
  • cleans and disinfects kitchen and dining areas
  • wipes and dusts surfaces and cleans mirrors
  • vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes
  • removes linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets
  • places and neatly tucks clean sheets and replaces pillowcases
  • stocks towels and washcloths in bathrooms
  • picks up and empties trash containers
  • checks rooms for unauthorized food items and reports found items
  • maintains floors safe and clear of obstructions
  • loads washers and dryers and folds linens as needed
  • uses housekeeping supplies efficiently
  • assists in care of housekeeping equipment and reports malfunctions
  • notifies maintenance of any issues
