Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • perform routine cleaning of assigned areas using standard cleaning supplies and disinfectants
  • sanitize rooms for terminal clean upon resident discharge
  • clean apartments in senior or assisted living settings after resident move or renovations
  • note and report maintenance needs and carpet damage
  • move and relocate furniture, furnishings, and equipment upon resident room changes
  • set up and break down rooms for meetings, banquets, and classes
  • care for hard surface floors including dust mopping and damp mopping
  • spot clean carpets, entry mats, runners, and upholstered furniture
  • pick up and remove trash in assigned areas
  • maintain department equipment in clean and safe condition
  • clean and perform basic maintenance on vacuum and equipment
  • adhere to safety and cleanliness guidelines
  • communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff
  • report changes in resident status to supervisor or clinical staff
  • perform cross-training on multiple floors or neighborhoods
  • may be assigned additional duties as appropriate
