Job Description
South Port Square is a distinguished senior living community nestled within a scenic 40-acre campus in Port Charlotte, Florida, near the tranquil Charlotte Harbor and the charming city of Punta Gorda. For over 35 years, South Port Square has been dedicated to serving the needs of retirees and seniors by providing a supportive and engaging environment that promotes quality of life and well-being. It is one of twelve retirement communities managed by Life Care Services (LCS), the nation's premier developer and manager of senior living communities. Life Care Services is renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation in senior care, fostering environments of trust, transparency, and respect for both residents and employees. This fosters a workplace culture where employees experience meaningful careers and professional growth.
South Port Square offers a vibrant, community-focused living experience, where dedicated professionals are empowered to make a positive impact on the lives of residents. The campus features a range of amenities and services tailored to senior living, including healthcare, social activities, and hospitality services, all structured to promote independence and comfort. The management team at South Port Square is deeply committed to nurturing a dedicated workforce where ethical standards, compassion, and teamwork thrive. Employees are encouraged to develop in their roles, advance their careers, and discover purpose in their day-to-day work.
We are actively seeking motivated, hospitality-driven individuals to join our team as Housekeepers. This role plays an essential part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of our residential apartments, community common spaces, and healthcare areas, when applicable. Housekeepers are fundamental to creating an environment that residents are proud to call home. Their contributions ensure that each space is welcoming, hygienic, and well-kept.
This role is ideal for someone who appreciates detailed, quality-driven work and enjoys contributing to a warm, community-centered atmosphere. Responsibilities include routine cleaning duties such as vacuuming, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, dusting, and maintaining common areas, ensuring a tidy and safe environment. Housekeepers will also take responsibility for maintaining equipment and supplies, upholding organizational standards, and supporting the overall housekeeping and laundry functions of the community. Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude are key to excelling in this position.
Position Type: Part-Time, First Shift. Starting pay begins at $15.00 per hour. The role requires passing a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, reflecting the community's commitment to resident safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
If you are an enthusiastic, compassionate individual with a passion for hospitality and senior engagement, we invite you to apply and become a valued member of our team. South Port Square provides a fun, caring, and inclusive environment, fostering a culture of extraordinary rewards and professional satisfaction. Join us and contribute to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our senior residents each day.
