The Part-Time Housekeeper role at RLC is a meaningful, impactful position essential to maintaining the comfort and cleanliness of residents' homes and common areas within the communities. Working in this position involves managing various cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms, and changing linens. Seasonal responsibilities such as window cleaning, patio maintenance, and HVAC filter changes are also part of the role. Beyond routine tasks, you will perform deep cleaning of apartments when residents move out and prepare vacant and model units for new occupants, ensuring that every space reflects high standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Part-time hours are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., providing a consistent and manageable work schedule. This position requires the ability to read, speak, and understand basic English, as well as a commitment to following safety protocols using approved cleaning tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience in housekeeping within hospitality, commercial, or residential settings is preferred but not mandatory, as RLC values the heart and dedication candidates bring to the role.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:00am to 12:30pm
  • Willingness to perform cleaning duties following company guidelines and safety standards
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Preferred experience in housekeeping or related field

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, speak and understand basic English
  • Experience in housekeeping in a hospitality, commercial or residential setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build genuine connections with residents and team members
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment properly

  • Capable of performing physical tasks related to cleaning

Job Duties

  • Welcome new residents and learn their cleaning preferences
  • Adjust apartment cleaning to meet individual needs and expectations
  • Clean residents’ apartments and community spaces on a regular schedule
  • Perform deep cleaning of apartments after residents move out and care for vacant apartments
  • Clean and prepare model apartments and guest suites by vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, washing linens, restocking supplies, and checking HVAC areas
  • Keep common areas clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas in a clean and organized way
  • Use only approved cleaning products and tools and follow PPE safety guidelines
  • Wash, dry, and care for housekeeping linens in a timely manner
