The part-time Housekeeper position is based at the University of Louisville, located at 530 S. Jackson Street, Louisville, KY. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of healthcare and hospitality environments, including hospitals, hotels, and restaurants. The housekeeper duties revolve around cleaning and upkeep tasks such as making beds, replenishing linens, vacuuming, and ensuring that spaces are hygienic and inviting for patients, guests, and visitors. A fixed pay rate of $19.00 per hour is provided, offering competitive compensation for part-time work.

This position requires hands-on engagement, offering on-the-job training to equip associates with the skills necessary to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high cleaning standards. Job Duties

  • Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
  • Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
  • Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
  • Cleans metal fixtures and fittings
  • Empties and cleans trash containers
  • Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
  • Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
  • Wipes down glass surfaces
  • Makes up beds and changes linens as required
  • Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • Responds to guest queries and requests
  • Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
  • Contributes to team efforts
  • exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others
  • Performs other duties as assigned
