Job Description

Cypress Cove is a beautiful 60-acre Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), that provides senior living with the highest level of independence. The community offers an unmatched lifestyle featuring top-tier amenities, fine dining, and elegant décor. Cypress Cove supports a full continuum of care including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, and Rehabilitation services. This comprehensive approach ensures residents receive personalized care tailored to their evolving needs while enjoying a vibrant and engaging environment. Known for its warm resident-staff relationships, Cypress Cove fosters a friendly and supportive community where residents feel at home and staff members find fulfillment in their work. The community maintains a drug-free and tobacco-free workplace and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The part-time Housekeeper position at Cypress Cove is an integral role within the Environmental Services team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across the entire campus. This role is scheduled for Monday and Friday with 8-hour daytime shifts, with the possibility to work additional hours when needed. The hourly wage is $16, reflecting the community’s commitment to fair compensation. Housekeepers at Cypress Cove help create a healthy, clean, and inviting atmosphere for residents, supporting their wellbeing and quality of life. The Environmental Services team is composed of compassionate, service-oriented individuals who genuinely care about enhancing residents’ daily experiences. The role suits someone who values kindness, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys working as part of a team that appreciates their efforts and enthusiasm.

Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning a wide range of areas, including resident apartments and rooms within Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing areas. They also maintain common area corridors, restrooms, offices, break rooms, utility areas, storage spaces, courtyards, as well as recreation and exercise areas. Occasionally, they may assist with laundry duties and handle waste removal across all these areas. The position requires supporting general cleanliness functions such as cleaning up spills and leaks promptly to ensure a safe environment. Beyond maintenance tasks, the role offers the opportunity to build lasting relationships with residents and to work a flexible schedule without any late-night shifts, making it an excellent fit for those seeking work-life balance.

Cypress Cove values and supports its workforce by offering competitive health benefits, paid vacation, a retirement plan with a 6% company match, and continuing education opportunities including tuition reimbursement and partnership discounts with local colleges. Employees also enjoy the daily benefit of a free salad bar and homemade soups, free telemedicine services for family members, free employee clinic sick visits, milestone gifts, and referral bonus incentives. The community recognises the dedication of its staff and fosters an environment where employees can grow personally and professionally while making meaningful contributions to the lives of seniors. If you are passionate about making a positive impact and want to be part of a respected community that values you, Cypress Cove is an excellent place to build your career as a Housekeeper.
