The role of Maid Service Attendant at GCE is a critical position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of designated areas according to strict Air Force Lodging standards. Located at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson Airforce Base in Anchorage, Alaska, this full-time position offers an hourly wage of $25.08 and demands a high level of attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and quality customer service. The Maid Service Attendant will perform housekeeping tasks that contribute significantly to the comfortable and sanitary environment experienced by military personnel and government employees using the lodging facilities.
The Maid Service Attendant’s responsibilities extend beyond basic cleaning duties; they must be able to operate safely around various cleaning chemicals, adapt to changing work schedules including early morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, and holiday shifts, and be physically capable of handling tasks that may require lifting up to 50 pounds and performing actions such as bending, crouching, climbing stairs or ladders, and reaching overhead. Job Requirements
- must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s)
- must pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background checks
- must pass drug tests as appropriate
- able to travel to various locations and work in various weather conditions
- able to work early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit, and lift up to 50 pounds
