Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily including adequate visual acuity
  • Effective communication skills including hearing and distinguishing speech
  • Ability to work specified hours including every other Saturday and Sunday 10:30pm-7:00am
  • Commitment to uphold confidentiality and workplace standards
  • Ability to comply with safety principles, laws, and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with adequate visual acuity
  • Effective communication skills including hearing and distinguishing speech
  • Commitment to organizational values of compassion, hospitality, and stewardship
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of safety principles and regulations such as CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA

Job Duties

  • Maintains a clean and neat environment in assigned working areas including patient rooms, offices, nurses' stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, stairwells, and lobby areas
  • Participates in cleaning activities such as cleaning walls, ceilings, vents, lights, baseboards, windows/glass, and replacing light bulbs
  • Maintains clean and neat floor surfaces through dusting, buffing, scrubbing, strip/sealing, waxing, extracting, and vacuuming
  • Disposes of all trash appropriately, including pickup, boxing, shredding, and maintaining cleanliness of trash receptacles
  • Participates in relocation of office and hospital furniture or equipment as necessary
