Job Description

Denali Universal Services (DUS) is a well-established company specializing in providing comprehensive support services to remote camp operations, primarily in the energy and resource sectors. The company is known for its commitment to safety, operational excellence, and creating professional environments for its employees and clients. Denali Universal Services operates camps in challenging locations, such as the North Slope of Alaska, where maintaining a clean and safe living and working environment is essential to the overall success and morale of the camp residents.

The company is currently seeking dependable and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join their team at a remote camp located on the North Slope of Alaska. This full-time position involves working on a rotational schedule, with shifts lasting 12 hours a day. Employees will typically work 3 weeks on followed by 3 weeks off, or sometimes 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, depending on the specific job site. This role is critical for maintaining clean, sanitary, and comfortable living quarters and common spaces within the camp. Housekeepers ensure that the camp environment remains safe and welcoming for all residents, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the overall professionalism of the camp environment.

The Housekeeper’s responsibilities include cleaning guest rooms, offices, and communal areas, making beds, changing linens and towels, and sanitizing bathrooms and restrooms. In addition, the role requires attention to detail in managing waste disposal, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, and replenishing supplies like toiletries and paper products. This position requires following established cleaning schedules, safety protocols, and North Slope camp rules strictly to maintain high standards. Reporting maintenance or safety issues in a timely manner is also a key duty.

Because of the remote and demanding nature of the job, candidates must be comfortable living in dormitory-style accommodations, sharing rooms if necessary, and working long hours in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. The company provides flight arrangements and pays for travel between Anchorage, Alaska, and the job site, as well as free housing and meals during the rotation period. This makes the position attractive for candidates looking for a stable job with unique work-life benefits, including approximately six months off annually due to the rotational schedule.

This opportunity offers competitive wages with significant overtime opportunities due to the extended shifts, alongside valuable benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance, and more. Employees enjoy a distinctive work environment that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability, essential qualities for successful camp operations in remote locations. Denali Universal Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applicants with relevant housekeeping, hospitality, or camp experience to apply for this rewarding role that combines steady income with the adventure of working in one of America’s most unique environments.
