Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous housekeeping experience preferred
Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment

Job Qualifications

Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful
Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
Knowledge of safety rules and procedures
Understanding of patient care and infection control standards

Job Duties

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily in accordance with facility protocols
Use proper chemicals in proper portions
Mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets
Empty trash containers, replace liners, and dispose of trash properly
Report repair needs to supervisor or maintenance department
Request needed supplies and equipment from supervisor
Identify and correct safety hazards and abide by safety rules
Attend weekly in-services and comply with Patient Care Management Systems
Assure patient/resident safety
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
