Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance preferred
Ability to use floor-care equipment
Basic literacy in English
Ability to follow safety and cleaning protocols
Ability to work daytime shifts
No travel required

Job Qualifications

Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful
Experience in use of floor-care equipment is helpful
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
Knowledge of safety rules and proper chemical usage
Ability to follow facility protocols
Strong communication skills
Commitment to teamwork and patient safety

Job Duties

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily
Use proper chemicals in proper portions
Dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors as needed
Empty trash containers and replace liners appropriately
Vacuum carpets as directed by Supervisor
Wash and dry windows using proper chemicals and equipment
Report repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department
Request needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor
Identify and correct safety hazards and abide by safety rules
Attend weekly in-services and comply with patient care management systems
Assure patient and resident safety
Perform other assigned duties and tasks
