Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Previous experience in housekeeping or maintenance preferred
Ability to operate floor-care equipment
Ability to follow safety protocols
Reliable and punctual
Able to perform physical cleaning tasks
Willingness to attend ongoing training and in-service sessions

Job Qualifications

Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful
Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
Knowledge of safety rules and protocols
Ability to work well as part of a team
Good communication skills
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Job Duties

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily
Use proper chemicals in correct proportions
Dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors
Empty trash containers and replace liners
Vacuum carpets as directed
Wash and dry windows using proper chemicals and equipment
Report repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department
Request needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor
Identify and correct safety hazards and abide by safety rules
Review and enforce Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention
Attend weekly in-services and comply with Patient Care Management Systems
Assure patient and resident safety
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
