Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
- Willingness to work assigned shifts including weekends
- Ability to follow safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Must successfully complete pre-employment physical, physical abilities test, drug screen and Department of Justice Criminal background clearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry services preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA safety standards
- Basic physical fitness to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
- Dusts furniture
- washes walls, ceilings and woodwork, windows, door panels and sills
- Vacuums rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies and hallways
- Rearranges small furniture if needed
- Sweeps, scrubs and waxes floors
- Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area
- Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, elevators, elevator landings, stairways and hallways as scheduled
- Reports when equipment, structures, or furniture needs repair and completes maintenance or housekeeping orders if necessary
- Assists with laundry and linens including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading washers and dryers, ironing, folding, storing and delivering linens
- Maintains cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area
- Performs final cleanings for new residents as needed
- Stocks and maintains supply rooms
- Performs emergency housekeeping when accidents or special needs arise
- Follows department safety standards and practices body mechanic techniques
- Wears PPE and safety equipment as required
- Reports any safety hazards or accidents to supervisor
- Attends all mandatory in-service meetings
- Complies with all department and facility policies and procedures
