This role as a Guest Room Attendant at Omni Hotels & Resorts is essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort expected by the company's discerning guests. The position involves cleaning and preparing both checked-out and stayover guest rooms by performing thorough cleaning and restocking tasks. Guest Room Attendants ensure that beds are made, bathrooms cleaned, floors vacuumed, and surfaces dusted to the highest standards. Beyond cleaning, attendants are responsible for replenishing guest amenities, removing room service items, and communicating the status of each room upon completion. Attention to detail and a focus on guest satisfaction are critical components of this role.

The position demands physical stamina because attendants need to stand, bend, squat, and reach repeatedly, as well as sometimes lift or push supplies and equipment. Candidates must also be able to work effectively around various cleaning chemicals, respond to any hazardous situations appropriately, and maintain cleanliness during busy periods. Flexibility with working hours is necessary, as shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role also requires basic English communication skills to interact courteously and effectively with guests, answer common questions about services and amenities, and provide directions when needed.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend and do repetitive movements for long periods of time
  • ability to frequently bend, squat, and reach overhead
  • ability to lift up to 20-25 pounds intermittently and occasionally 50 pounds
  • ability to push and pull fully stocked housekeeping supply cart
  • ability to work around a variety of chemicals and respond to hazardous situations
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Environmental services experience preferred, preferably in hotel housekeeping
  • basic English skills to answer questions and give directions
  • ability to multi-task in a busy environment
  • team player with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • detail oriented with a high standard for cleanliness and organization

Job Duties

  • Clean both check-out and stayover guest rooms
  • thoroughly clean guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting
  • restock and replace used items within guest rooms
  • communicate clean status of each room upon completion
  • remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms
  • stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times
  • check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order
  • respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner
