We are currently seeking Housekeeper I candidates for our Southlake Campus with one full-time and one part-time opening. This role is critical to ensuring the hospital environment remains sanitary and orderly. Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeper I professionals are responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties throughout the facility, including offices, patient rooms, hallways, cafeterias, and other common areas. The position requires attention to detail and an understanding of hospital hygiene protocols to help minimize the risk of infection and maintain a safe setting for all.

As a Housekeeper I, you will be expected to maintain the premises in a clean and orderly manner by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning surfaces including light fixtures, ceilings, vents, furniture, and mattresses. Tasks also involve replenishing supplies, moving furniture, hanging draperies, and setting up tables and chairs as needed. Professionalism and a positive attitude are essential, as you will be interacting with various hospital staff and possibly patients. You will also be promoting effective teamwork and adhering strictly to organizational policies and procedures while managing resources efficiently. This role requires reliable execution of clinical and technical competencies within the assigned department to support overall hospital operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • One or more years of experience in hospital housekeeping
  • Ability to work flexible hours including full-time or part-time shifts
  • Capability to perform physical cleaning duties
  • Willingness to adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct and positive attitude
  • Capacity to manage resources effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • One or more years of experience in hospital housekeeping
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner
  • Cleans offices, patient rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and other areas as required
  • Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, vents, mattresses, furniture, window coverings, floors and carpets
  • Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping
  • Replenishes supplies
  • Moves furniture, hangs draperies and sets up tables and chairs
  • Promotes effective teamwork
  • Displays professional behavior and positive attitude at all times
  • Adheres to organizational policies and procedures
  • Effectively manages hospital resources such as time, supplies, and equipment
  • Performs the professional, clinical, and technical competencies of the assigned unit
  • Completes other duties as assigned
