Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to understand and converse in English for safe efficient job performance
Manual dexterity and ability to stand for long periods
Knowledge of environmental services procedures and safety standards
Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting bending stooping and standing for prolonged periods
Willingness to work Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays
Ability to follow instructions and report maintenance issues promptly
Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional work environment

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Adherence to I C.A.R.E. standards
Manual dexterity and ability to stand for long periods
Demonstrated ability to follow department guidelines and perform environmental services tasks
Service orientation to employees staff and patients
Competent in using proper chemicals for assigned tasks
Ability to clean emergency spills and assist during community disasters in making up extra beds

Job Duties

Performs daily and discharge cleaning including bed-making wall-spotting toilet cleaning high/low dusting and O.R. terminal cleaning
Maintains a professional and safe work environment always using caution signs and cones
Completes unfinished tasks from previous shifts and reports any maintenance or assignment issues
Cleans up organic waste such as blood body fluids feces sputum as per supervisor instructions
Installs cubicle shower and window curtains as needed
Disinfects and sanitizes I.V. poles pumps and other patient equipment upon discharge
Learns and implements new cleaning procedures related to healthcare standards
