Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to interact comfortably with patients, families, and visitors
- Experience with cleaning and maintaining floor surfaces preferred
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely following guidelines
- Availability to work rotating shifts including variable weekends
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and maintenance
- Willingness to adhere to Corewell Health vaccination and safety policies
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
Job Duties
- Interact with patients, families, and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Maintain hospital flooring including carpets, tile, and other hard surfaces
- Strip, scrub, refinish, and buff hard floor surfaces
- Shampoo and extract carpets and upholstery
- Perform detail cleaning of walls, doors, frames, and kick plates
- Conduct terminal cleaning of operating room and surgical areas
- Remove trash and soiled linen and deliver clean linen where required
- Stock cleaning supplies
- Maintain cleaning equipment
