Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- physical capability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing
- ability to follow safety protocols
- effective communication skills
- punctuality and dependability
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred or GED accepted
- ability to handle multiple priorities
- organizational and time management skills
- good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- physical ability to bend and reach
- ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40-50 pounds
- ability to stand for extended periods of time
Job Duties
- Clean resident apartments as assigned
- clean all common areas including halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, lobbies, elevators, and model units
- clean vacant units as assigned
- ensure cleanliness of public restrooms
- maintain housekeeping and laundry carts at all times
- wash and dry all community laundry using appropriate products
- follow the posted work schedule and arrive on time with proper work attire
- adhere to all emergency procedures including chemical misuse response
- understand proper handling of biohazardous waste
- maintain clean laundry room and store chemicals following safety procedures
- report on-the-job injuries to supervisors
- communicate effectively with housekeeping supervisor, plant operations director, and team members
- advise supervisors when supplies need reordering
