Job Description

The Cleaning Authority is a reputable and environmentally responsible company that has been providing superior green home-cleaning services since 1977. Founded in Maryland, the company was among the pioneers of whole house cleaning services in the region and has since expanded its footprint across North America. With over 25 years of experience and more than 20 million cleans completed using their proprietary Detail-Clean Rotation System, The Cleaning Authority has built a legacy of excellence, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Their environmentally friendly cleaning products and methods make them an industry leader not just in cleanliness but also in eco-conscious home care. The Cleaning Authority places high value on the safety and well-being of both their customers and employees, especially evident during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, where enhanced safety protocols have been adopted.

The Cleaning Authority is currently hiring for a full-time Professional Housekeeper / House Cleaner role. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding career with flexible Monday through Friday daytime hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with no nights or weekend shifts. The work environment is dynamic, as housekeepers work in teams of two, traveling between different homes to provide consistent, high-quality residential cleaning services. Starting pay begins at $11.50 per hour for those with no experience, rising to $13 or more per hour for candidates with prior cleaning experience, along with additional benefits such as paid holidays, mileage compensation, and tips which are fully retained by employees.

Employees receive comprehensive training through engaging videos, learning the Detail-Clean Rotation System which underpins the company’s ability to deliver thorough, reliable, and environmentally safe cleaning routines. This system ensures every corner of the home is addressed methodically, helping customers maintain healthier living environments. Equipment, supplies, uniform t-shirts and aprons are provided free of charge. The company fosters a supportive workplace culture where team collaboration and personal pride in work are emphasized. It also offers career advancement opportunities ranging from Certified Cleaner, Team Leader, Trainer, Quality Inspector, to management roles. The Cleaning Authority welcomes candidates of diverse backgrounds, including those without a high school diploma or recent workforce experience. The friendly, engaging, and community-focused culture makes this an exceptional career choice in the cleaning industry where employees enjoy meaningful work, regular schedules, and long-term employment stability.
