The Hotel Housekeeper plays an essential role within WaterWalk Hospitality’s operational team, directly contributing to the cleanliness, comfort, and overall satisfaction of guests during their stay. This position is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and all public areas of the hotel meet the company’s rigorous standards for hygiene and presentation. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the property. Housekeepers must work independently to clean and restock rooms efficiently while also demonstrating strong teamwork skills to support common area upkeep and special cleaning projects. The position is part-time with shift hours scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering a balanced work-life routine for employees. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy keeping environments orderly, and value providing excellent service that enhances the guest experience. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to work part-time with shift availability from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks that require bending lifting and standing
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and handle cleaning chemicals appropriately
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting bending and standing for extended periods
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms according to hotel standards including making beds cleaning bathrooms dusting vacuuming and replenishing amenities
  • Ensure all rooms are properly stocked with necessary supplies such as towels toiletries and coffee tea supplies
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department for prompt resolution
  • Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel including hallways lobbies elevators and public restrooms
  • Ensure common areas are always tidy clean and welcoming to guests
  • Collect sort and transport linens and towels to the laundry area
  • Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens and towels is always available
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously
  • Provide assistance to guests as needed to enhance their stay
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions
  • Collaborate with other housekeeping team members to ensure all rooms and common areas are cleaned in a timely manner
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor
